Q. Why use Coaching Circles to find a coach? |
Identifying and selecting the right coach for you is of the utmost importance. Unlike other coaching organizations we are not limited to coaches with a single methodology or coaches who have "signed up" with us. We do not represent professional coaches exclusively, we represent clients.
Why? Credibility, trust and confidence. And, we do not believe one methodology works for all, or coaches who are trained at a particular school are good for all clients. We DO NOT have conflicts of interest.
We are able to secure any personal or corporate coach you wish WITHOUT BIAS, and at no additional cost to you.

Q. How 'We' Find Your Coach. |
Yes, WE. We as an organization have our areas of responsibility as do you. This is a team effort - very similar to the actual coaching engagement. This is not a time where you kick back and have someone hand you over a coach. Below outlines our basic areas of responsibilities and yours:
Our responsibilities:
- find the coach with the right skill-set
- setup a 20-45 minute phone interview for you and the coach
- handle the payment processing
- be here if you need any assistance or clarity about your coaching engagement
- live up to our money back guarantee
- check in periodically and after your coaching engagement to ensure satisfaction (confidential)
Your responsibilities:
- understand why you want a coach and if you are ready for coaching
- understand your goals
- understand the difference between therapy & coaching
- make sure your goals are not therapist-based issues
- contact us
- openly explain your needs and goals to us (all conversations are confidential)
- offer at least three dates and times in which you can interview one or a few coaches over the phone (or in person if you are a corporation).
- answer the phone at the phone number you provided at the scheduled interview date and time.
- IMPORTANT: when on the phone with a coach: be open, ask questions and listen deeply.
~ BE OPEN: fully explain your goals and explain why you want a coach.
~ ASK QUESTIONS: about the coach's areas of expertise; especially in the areas you are most interested. Ask how have they helped others in your situation. Ask how they work, their fees, meeting times, etc.
~ LISTEN DEEPLY: to the coach and to yourself! Do you feel as though you can tell this coach anything. Do you want this coach to help you reach your goals.
~ MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION: You are the one making the choice. Make it. One way or another. And, let us know.

Q. Is there anything that compares to coaching? |
There are some similarities with the way athletic coaches or music teachers work with highly talented people.
A coach believes you have amazing talents as well. A coach will challenge you and take the time to find out what winning in life means to you. A coach is your partner in living the life you know you can accomplish, personally and professionally to its fullest extent. A coach is someone to hold you accountable for your life and your goals, to make sure you really live up to your potential.
Some people believe that "hard work and doing it on your own" are the keys to finding the life, success, money, or they happiness they seek. They believe that a price must be paid to attain what they want. Often that price is poor health, not having enough time to enjoy life, strained family relationships or lessened productivity at work if family is where you spend your time. The saddest part is even though this effort may result in more of something, it is often not the something you had in mind, and you are back where you started, or worse, further from your real intentions.
Athletes and performers know about this trap. They know they need a trained person to help them set goals, discover their real needs, and work effectively toward an ultimate goals of excellence. Therefore, they are willing to hire a coach or a teacher. No serious athlete would expect to progress very far without one. If you have a goal, or goals, that are very important to you, why not live your life to its fullest extent and hire a coach.

Q. IMPORTANT!! How is coaching different than therapy? |
Patrick Williams Ed.D & MCC, a long time psychologist and coach gives great insight into the differences between therapy and coaching. If you believe you are in need of therapy instead of coaching, PLEASE seek out therapy! Do not use coaching as a way of healing these types of matters.
THERAPY VS. COACHING
Therapy Deals with identifiable dysfunctions in a person. Coaching Deals with a healthy client desiring a better situation.
Therapy Deals mostly with a person's past and trauma, and seeks healing. Coaching Deals mostly with a person's present and seeks to help them design a more desirable future.
Therapy Helps patients resolve old pain. Coaching Helps clients learn new skills and tool to build a more satisfying future.
Therapy There is a Doctor-patient relationship with the client (The therapist has the answers) Coaching Co-creative equal partnership (Coach helps client discover own answers).
Therapy Assumes emotions as a symptom of something wrong. Coaching Assumes emotions are natural and normalizes them.
Therapy The therapist diagnoses, then provides professional expertise and guidelines to provide a path to healing. Coaching The coach stands with the client and helps him/her identify the challenges, then partners with them to turn the challenges into victories.
Therapy Progress is sometimes slow and painful. Coaching Growth and progress are rapid and usually enjoyable.
