Statement: |
Who am I?: I am a management and leadership development consultant and executive coach with a masters degree in organizational and interpersonal communication, and 20 years of domestic and international business experience.
What are my areas of specialty?: I specialize in working one-on-one, and/or in teams, with managers and senior-level executives to help them achieve individual and organizational performance objectives. I can assist you in discovering creative solutions to your most significant management and leadership challenges.
What is my background?: I've worked in various capacities for such companies as (in chronological order): Newsday, NBC News, Ogilvy & Mather, Aaron Spelling Productions, Columbia Pictures, Disney, CBS, Sequoia Creative, and Showscan Entertainment. I'm a former program director for the American Management Association's strategic leadership practice area where I ran their flagship management training program. I was an interim vice president of operations for a top executive search firm. During the dot-com era, I was the cofounder of an Internet startup, and then vice president of business development and head of the New York office of a leading interactive agency. Since then, as an independent consultant and executive coach, I've worked with a variety of organizations including the New York New Media Association (NYNMA); the UK-based leadership training organization, the Centre for High Performance Development (CHPD); and Dale Carnegie Training.
Why did I go into Leadership Development and Coaching?: Truthfully, after having some of the worst bosses in the history of mankind, I've learned how to and how not to manage and lead people. And I believe that every time I coach someone to be a better manager, I am doing my small part to make the world a better and a happier place for everyone involved.
