Statement: |
I have worked with many professionals making or planning to make career changes. My work combines thoughtful analysis of areas of the individuals' strengths, experience and aspirations... coupled with practical planning and accountability to ensure follow-up.
I have used assessments as starting points, and recommend their use, but do not require them. What I do require is deep reflection on the part of the individual in transition, to gain clarity about the "right" path, or paths, to pursue. We then couple that perspective with a realistic look at the marketplace, to ensure that goals are achievable. Lastly, we create a plan and I monitor follow-up, holding the individual I am coaching accountable for making progress. If we learn that a goal is not achievable, we reframe the objectives and plan and redirect our efforts.
My coaching in the area of career development combines strategic thinking with practical planning and personal motivation. Sometimes the development of a personal brand proposition ... and supporting tools (e.g., resumes) are included in the work, too. |
