I entered coaching for a simple reason. Over 20 plus years of corporate and consulting life, I have seen too much unnecessary waste and pain. Too many talented managers have not had the opportunity to develop leadership capabilities- especially those accountable for leading change. After years of watching large consulting organizations fail with issues of leadership, I find coaching to be much more effective. I coach because coaching is a clear and measurable way to see companies identify blocks to effectiveness and design their own ways for removing them. My approach to coaching is simple. Together, clients and I create time and process to examine their business away from the moment to moment push. In that time we together become very purposeful about what will be needed to see superior performance, both from the executive- and from the organization. We then work together to develop the strategy and action plans needed to get those outcomes in place and to measure them. Anyone who thinks that executive coaching is a soft process has not worked with me. My clients will tell you that I am tough minded and focused on their success- and that I expect them to be courageous about the areas they will have to look to see that success blossom. |
